Basic Methods Of Fighting Acne
Acne is pretty much hated universally. Most of us spend quite a lot of time and effort fighting against breakouts. The amount of money spent on skin products that are supposed to keep us acne free will astound you. Sadly, for some of us, acne problems do not always go away with when we are done with puberty. Some of us have to fight against breakouts for our entire lives. Try using some of these tips if you are tired of having to deal with acne more often than you want to. Also, something that has greatly improved my acne condition is diet. Check out Shakeology, highly recommended.
The first thing you need to do is find a good cleanser. A good cleanser will obviously be oil free, but that is not the only criteria you should use when shopping for your cleanser. You should also look at the salicylic acid. People who have to deal with really bad acne will use the salicylic acid content as their primary search criteria. In a “normal” cleanser the salicylic acid is only strong enough to kill basic bacteria and to clean your pores out. As you age your skin will get thinner and more sensitive so you might eventually need to use salicylic acid only for the occasional spot treatment. Try wearing less makeup or choosing a brand that makes cosmetics out of lighter materials. Cut down on the number of products you cake on your face by buying a foundation and other types of makeup that have sunscreen in them. Instead of choosing “regular” make up, buy make up that is made with minerals and vitamins that help your skin stay healthy. It is not a good idea to choose your makeup because it is the cheapest brand on the shelf. You don’t want to put on too much makeup. You want to wear very little to no makeup. Don’t worry–it is still possible to paint your face without adding pounds of creams and powders to it! This is also important: do not go to bed with makeup still on your face. Leaving on your makeup overnight is one of the best ways to make sure that you wake up to a face full of zits and pimples.
Reduce your stress! For a lot of us, pimples and other forms of acne are a sure sign that we are too stressed out. Make some time for relaxation every day. Have someone teach you some techniques for relaxation that you can use to keep your stress in check. If your daily life is filled with high levels of stress you should consider changing your lifestyle. Finding time for yourself is imperative for your mental health and it is important for your skin!
Keeping your pores clear and your skin clean does not have to be difficult. Some people are able to fight acne simply by washing their face twice a day. Others will have to use more muscle against their acne. You might decide that your best defense against acne is a natural lifestyle and a regular exercise routine. It might take some time for you to figure out the method that works best for you. The trick is to keep at something for a while.
Nothing will work overnight so give all of your trials at least a week or two to start working before moving on to something new. Lastly, be sure to look at this Shakeology review and this great post about Insanity and Shakeology.
